Chancellors Ridge Board of Directors Mission
Hello neighbors! As you know, control of the Chancellor's Ridge Home Owners Association transferred from the developer to the homeowners in July 2003 and a Board of Directors was elected.  The Board is excited about the homeowners now having control of our community!  The mission of the Board is to:

• Enhance and preserve the character and integrity of our community.
• Increase overall property values of Association members.
• Give a fair hearing to legitimate homeowner issues and make decisions in the overall best interest of the Association members.
• Exercise prudent fiscal management.
• Maintain an appropriate level of community services and preserve Association assets.
• Foster community involvement.
• Conduct business in accordance with the Homeowner Association By-laws.

Our community will only be as good as the level of effort that we, the homeowners, invest in it.  The board wants to hear from each of you so we can make informed decisions that will benefit our community as a whole. We also thank you, in advance, for your active participation in and support of our community.

Chancellor's Ridge Board of Directors Bio’s :

President - Shane Kirk
Shane is the General Manager of Seac Banche USA, Inc. the US subsidiary of a Florence, Italy based manufacturer of check scanning equipment. As the General Manager of the subsidiary he is responsible for all operational aspects of the company with an emphasis on sales, marketing and channel management. Shane moved to North Carolina in 2004 with his family from California where he was a native. Shane is married and has twin boys that are NC natives!

Vice-President- Kim Preslar
Kim is a marketing program manager in Marketing Communications for Lenovo (formerly the IBM PC Division) with a specialty in interactive advertising and marketing. Kim is responsible for marketing strategy and execution, budget, and real-time tracking & analysis for multiple marketing programs. She is a native of NC and moved to Chapel Hill in the 90's to attend the Journalism School at UNC where she graduated. Kim has been a member of the Chancellor's Ridge Board since it was turned over to homeowners. She has served as Secretary and Member At-Large prior to Vice President. Kim has many outside interests, but enjoys spending time with her daughter, Grace, the most.

Secretary -  John Gunter
John is a native of Durham and a chemistry graduate of UNC and NCSU.  He left this area for Eastman Kodak, working in Kingsport, TN and Rochester, NY for 29 years.  He held various technical and management responsibilities for manufacture of photographic products and medical devices.  He happily returned to Durham at the start of 2006 and is currently exploring employment possibilities here.  He is experienced as a homeowner association officer for several years in his New York community, and has also served on church, scouting, and professional society boards.  The Gunters have three adult sons.
